Create a System of Giving: The One Lesson That Changed Everything

If I could go back and give my younger entrepreneurial self one piece of advice, it would be this: create a system of giving. Not a marketing plan. Not a clever strategy. Not a perfect niche. A system of giving.

It sounds simple, almost too simple, but it is the most powerful shift I ever made in my business. And it all started with a book that completely rewired how I thought about success.

The Moment Everything Clicked

When I first stepped into entrepreneurship, I thought success would come from skills, hustle, or picking the right industry. Then I read The Go Giver, and suddenly the entire game changed. The book taught me that the people who thrive are the ones who consistently create value for others without expecting anything in return. They give generously, intentionally, and consistently.

That message hit me hard. It felt like someone had finally put words to the way I wanted to operate in business but didn’t yet know how to structure.

So I built the structure.

Turning Generosity Into a System

Inspired by that philosophy, I created a custom component inside my CRM called the Networking Success Pack (NSP). You can explore it here:

The NSP is my personal system of giving. It helps me:

  • Collect professional bios

  • Track engagement scores

  • Identify aligned partners

  • Make meaningful introductions

  • Stay consistent with follow up

  • Support my network with intention

It is not just a tool. It is a philosophy turned into a repeatable process. It ensures that generosity is not something I do when I remember. It is something I do by design.

The Power of Engineered Generosity

What changed everything for me was realizing that generosity can be engineered. You can build a system that helps you nurture relationships, support your network, and create opportunities for others. And when you do that, something incredible happens.

Opportunities start coming back to you.

The more I gave, the more my network grew with people who shared the same values. Referrals increased. Partnerships formed. My reputation strengthened. And I became known as someone who genuinely cares about helping others succeed.

That is the magic of a system of giving. It turns generosity into momentum.

Why I Will Never Run Out of Opportunities

The confidence I have today comes from knowing I will never be short on opportunities. Not because I chase them, but because I stay connected, intentional, and consistent. My system ensures that I show up for people, support them, and stay top of mind in a way that feels natural and human.

And that is the same advice I share with new entrepreneurs:

Do not focus on what you can get. Focus on what you can give.
Build a structure that helps you do it consistently.
Your network will become your greatest asset.

When you create a system of giving, your business grows in ways you could never engineer through strategy alone.

The Heart of My Work

Creating a system of giving changed my entire approach to business. It is the reason I love what I do. It is the reason my network continues to grow. And it is the reason I get to work with people who value connection, integrity, and mutual success.

If you want to build a business that grows through relationships, generosity, and genuine human connection, I would love to help you create your own system of giving.
