The Golden Goose Strategy That Outgrows Any Referral Fee

The Golden Goose Strategy That Outgrows Any Referral Fee

Why I Don’t Care About Referral Fees

In a world where everything seems to be turning into a transaction, I’ve chosen a different path. Every time someone offers me a referral fee, I smile and give the same honest response:

“Not to be disrespectful, but I don’t care about your referral fees. Keep your earned money.”

Some people pause when they hear that. It is not the typical business answer. But it is the truth. What matters most to me is the relationship. The trust. The connection. The long game.

Referral fees are a moment. Relationships are momentum.

Let me explain.

The Problem With Transaction Thinking

Referral fees are not bad. They are simply limited. They create a mindset that says, “I will help you because I get something in return.”

That is not how I operate.

I believe in building a network rooted in generosity and genuine connection. When we support each other without keeping score, we create a ripple effect of opportunity that is far more powerful than a one time payout.

The people who grow the fastest are not the ones chasing commissions. They are the ones nurturing relationships.

Why Strategic Introductions Matter More

My focus has never been on quick wins. It is on strategic introductions that create long term impact.

Sometimes that means connecting you directly with someone who needs your help. Other times, it means introducing you to what I call a golden goose. A golden goose is someone who may not be your ideal client, but they are deeply connected to the people you want to reach.

They know your audience. They influence your audience. They can open doors you did not even know existed.

A single golden goose can create more opportunity than a dozen one off referrals.

I Am Not a Lead Generation Service

This is an important distinction.

Some people expect direct referrals to warm prospects because they know I've created a large, well‑organized CRM with thousands of contacts and powerful search filters. And yes, sometimes I do have direct referrals. If someone in my network is complaining about a pain point you can solve, I will absolutely point them your way.

But my primary goal is not to hand out leads. My goal is to build strategic relationships that create long term opportunity flow.

The people I introduce you to are often connectors, not customers. They are the ones who can multiply your reach, not just add to it.

Relationships Compound Over Time

This approach takes patience. It takes intention. But it works.

Year after year, my biggest wins have come from relationships I nurtured, not transactions I chased. And the same is true for the people in my network who benefit from my custom relationship building framework I use inside my CRM.

Referral fees fade.
Relationships compound.

When we choose connection over transaction, everyone wins.

If You Want to Build a Relationship Driven Business

If this approach resonates with you and you want to build a business fueled by genuine connection instead of constant transaction, I would love to talk.
